From Bean Peace a poem by Drew K …
A mystery wrapped in brown,
A fragile enigma,
Enveloping the senses,
With the earthy steam
Of a bean.
The mind wrapped in warmth,
The essence of dark roast,
Heating from within,
The senses thrill,
With every lingering
Sniff of the aroma
In the mug

So ever since my move to Boston, I have been in search for that perfect cup of coffee and a good place to get it. There are so many ways to rate coffee and coffee shops - I usually divide it on three categories. Just pure black coffee(no baristas needed) , coffee with milk and speciality coffees. Here are my top 3 picks so far in the Boston/Cambridge area.
Just Pure Black Coffee
1. Speciality Coffee(try Rwanda) brewed in the clover machines in Starbucks
2. Pour over coffee at Voltage in Kendall square
3. Diesel cafe in Davis square
Coffee made by Baristas
1. Spanish latte at Espresso Royale in Back Bay - made with condensed milk (yum)
2. Capuchino at Pavement Coffeehouse in Back Bay
3. Latte at Cafe Fixe in Brookline
Speciality Coffees
1. Turkish coffee at Andala Coffee house in central sq, great environment ..
2. Arabian coffee at Algiers in Harvard
3. Ethiopian coffee at Addis Red Sea in Tremont
