Based on our friend John’s recommendation we hiked Mount Sunapee yesterday.

Our plan was to park at the Sunapee Lodge, hike the 2 milles up the Summit Trail and then the 1.2 miles down the Solitude Trail to Lake Solitude, a very remote mountain lake. [Mount Sunapee trail map]

Well marked trail path, luscious greenery, spectacular views, some steep incline and in the end the view of lake Solitude and all you can hear is frogs croaking and all you feel is absolute bliss and calmness.

Overall the trip was totally worth it !
